The POPAI ANZ Executive Committee is a group of industry leaders with a focus on advancing POPAI’s core pillars of Shopper Marketing
leadership through education, research and industry guidelines, and connecting
the POPAI community through events, networking and online.
Anthony Ballesty
Anthony is Managing
Director of id8 Studio. With almost 20 years in the industry as a skilled
creative director, commercial manager and industrial designer (Masters,
Industrial Design) Anthony is a senior figure in the Australian POP industry.
In 2002 Anthony established Id8 Studio and has spent the past 13 years growing
the business to be one of the leading retail display companies in Australia
today. He leads a talented and dynamic team of design, operations and
activation specialists, delivering end to end innovative display and category
solutions at retail. Anthony also serves on the POPAI Awards Steering
Committee.
Jason Mahoney
Jason is Managing Director of Kantar Retail, with 9 years of
extensive Consulting experience with Glendinning Management Consultants and
Kantar Retail across the US and Australia, and prior to that 12 years Management
and Leadership experience in Australia, South Africa, China and Taiwan with
Unilever, Jason provides a strong Commercial perspective to a large number of
clients regarding Category, Shopper, Channel and Customer. Specifically,
Jason has worked across a wide range of industries from Food, Beverage, Liquor,
Tobacco, Pharmaceuticals, Health and Beauty, Consumer Electronics and Online to
help develop growth strategies and build capabilities to extract maximum
shareholder value and deliver high levels of Customer satisfaction.
Ashay Sharma
Ashay is the co-founder of POP Impact & The POS Collective which were acquired by the IVE Group in May 2015. He has over 12 years of experience in the POS industry, with expertise in international supply chain management. A visionary, with a passion for innovation and new technologies to enhance the shopper experience.
Mark Fletcher
Managing Director, ShopScience.
Mark is a highly skilled qualitative/quantitative researcher with experience in consulting and research management. He has particular expertise in applying customer based insights to drive increased sales and profits, and to leverage emerging technologies that can add value to shoppers.
Lisa Galea
Point of Purchase Manager, Confectionery and Snacks, Nestle.
A highly experienced and passionate international Shopper Marketer with over 15 years’ experience in blue-chip FMCG companies worldwide (Procter & Gamble, Goodman Fielder, Mondelez and two stints at Nestle).
Leveraging Category and Shopper Insights to provide engaging Shopper Activations tailored to specific channels and occasions.A true believer that successful Shopper Marketing changes behaviours of Shoppers and makes the mundane grocery trip that little bit more exciting.
Stuart Garland
Customer Marketing Manager, Dulux.
Stuart Garland is Customer Marketing Manager at Dulux Australia, part of the DuluxGroup home improvement & construction products organisation.Stuart's team is responsible for activation of shoppers, retail staff and internal sales staff utilising tools such as:
- colour display units
- POP displays including physical demonstrations of product features & benefits
- beacon & NFC proximity devices
- "how to" and product features & benefits video writing & production
- category & space planning
- sales team communications
- expo events & displays
Mona Mellor
Shopper Marketing Manager, GlaxoSmithKline.
Mona is the Shopper Marketing Manager at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, with a 10 year background in FMCG having worked for Procter & Gamble prior to that. With experience working on brands such as Panadol, Voltaren, Sensodyne, Gillette and Oral B, Mona has developed expertise in national account management, customer marketing, category analysis, project management and the management of field, merchandising and retail activation teams.
Mona is passionate about understanding shoppers, developing strategies to influence shopper behaviour and building category defining brands that consumers love. She is part of the POPAI Executive Committee working on our Brand Pillar.
Simon Tebbutt
Head of Shopper Marketing and Retail Strategy, Ninth Wave.
Simon Tebbutt possesses an expansive and deep-specialist experience throughout the total spectrum of the marketing industry. From client to agency, United Kingdom to Australia, retail to financial services and FMCG, to now leading the Shopper Marketing discipline across both the agency and the Activations industry.Simon began his career on the shop floor at Marks & Spencer then Sainsbury’s in London – a humbling and hard-earned introduction into the retail world and an experience he still draws upon to this day.
His enthusiasm for the industry led to a rapid acceleration of his career where he headed up the marketing department of UK’s popular Sainsbury’s, before heading agency-side and picking up his former-employer as a client in the process!
