2016 EXPANDED POPAI AWARDS NOW OPEN FOR ENTRIES.
POPAI’s Marketing at Retail Awards; the national benchmark
for excellence in Retail Marketing and Shopper Experience, has expanded entry
categories - providing more opportunity
than ever for brands, agencies, and now – individuals, to showcase their best work.
POPAI General
Manager Lee McClymont says the prestigious award program continues to evolve in line
with macro trends, innovation and growth in the industry.
“In 2015 we
introduced People’s Choice to allow the public to engage with the program
through online, mobile and social media. We introduced the ‘Shopper Experience’
stream to reflect the shift into total retail – every moment, every touchpoint,
everywhere. And we removed ‘minimum run’ requirements to reward innovation and
trial campaigns. And the awards ceremony highlights were delivered live to Social
Media.”
“In 2016, we are
introducing awards for outstanding individuals. Our new Retail Marketer of the
Year, and Lifetime Achievement Awards offer recognition of the contribution of
pioneering individuals and thought leaders in the industry.”
“2016 also marks an
increased focus on environmental impact. This year’s program sees the
introduction of an Environmental Stewardship Award, to recognise and reward
programs that minimise impact and take steps towards carbon neutrality.”

Entries open 15 April and close 15 July. Winners will be announced
at the POPAI Gala Awards Dinner on 15th September at Doltone House Hyde Park,
Sydney, in the highlight industry event of the 2015 year. Entries are $595 + GST for members and $795 + GST for non members. Retail Marketer of the Year is $195 + GST, while Lifetime Achievement is FREE for members only.
